The Boot Lake Ranch Property Owner LLC has submitted plans to the City of Midland for a new retail and event center at the Nueva Vista Golf Club. The proposed development aims to create a family-friendly gathering space that will include dining options, shopping opportunities, and a waterfront area for leisurely walks.

Representatives from the companies involved in the project believe that Midland would benefit from having more family-oriented spaces. Adam Cunyus, part owner of Boot Lake Ranch Property, highlights the appeal of the project for retailers, given the large and growing population of young Midland families. Erick Sabin, a representative from LRK Planning and Design Firm, also notes that retailers will benefit from being part of a tight-knit geographic community.

The planned event center will feature a Central Green space, which will encompass an acre of grass and serve as a venue for various events such as live music performances and farmers' markets. The Central Green will be connected to the rest of the site through a network of trails. Additionally, the development will include a lake, providing residents with a waterfront area to enjoy as they visit the park.

The project is expected to bring over 100 new jobs to Midland, along with new sales opportunities and property tax benefits. The overall site will cover 300,000 square feet and will incorporate restaurants, retail stores, office buildings, and other commercial spaces. The timeline for the development's realization is unclear, but there is a hope to complete it by 2027.

The plans for the new retail and event center in Midland present an exciting opportunity for the community, offering a vibrant and family-friendly space for residents to dine, shop, and enjoy leisure activities. With the potential economic benefits and job opportunities, the project has garnered interest and support from both developers and city officials.
