Keep Midland Beautiful is hosting a fundraiser event called The Trio of Gardens, scheduled for Sept. 10. This will be the 27th annual The Trio of Gardens event, and it is the marquee fundraiser for Keep Midland Beautiful.

This event will showcase three different private gardens, an interactive activity where guests will go one to one and the beautiful landscapes that have been cultivated by the garden’s owners. It will also allow visitors, homeowners and gardeners alike to discuss the gardens and learn how to create such vivacious gardens in Midland, according to event information.

It will be held 1-4 p.m. Sept. 10, a Sunday afternoon event. Advance tickets are $12 and day of tickets are $15. Tickets can be purchased online via the Keep Midland Beautiful website, according to a Facebook post. The three gardens are located at 1307 E. Wadley Ave., 5305 Polo Club Road and 1609 Humble Ave.

There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available for The Trio of Gardens as well. These range from being a $250 Coralberry sponsor to a $7,500 Texas Bluebonnet sponsor, which gives the recognition of being a title sponsor of the event. The other sponsorship titles have flower themed names as well, such as Butterfly Bush, Texas Gold Columbine, Star Hibiscus and Yellow Bells, the sponsorship details noted.

Keep Midland Beautiful was founded in 1983 as an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to making Midland cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing, its website reported. It was initially funded and supported by the city of Midland and the Midland Chamber of Commerce, and it is now a member of the Keep America Beautiful Clean Community System.

Since its inception, the amount of liter in Midland has decreased by 95%, parks have been built and improved and an emphasis has been placed on waste management. According to the website, its mission is to “educate and inspire our community to take action, to create a clean, beautiful and waste-free Midland.”
