Meet Billy boy

GENDER: Male

BREED: Pit Bull Terrier

AGE: 1 year 2 months

SIZE: Medium

APPROXIMATE WEIGHT (lbs): 45 lbs

Billy Boy is a 1 year old Pitbull Mix (about 45-50 lbs) that was taken off the streets in January after having been found abandoned with injuries. Billy had his mangled rear left leg removed after it was unable to be salvaged. He had a severe infection in the leg and his body has fought hard to get through the infection. He is finally up to a good body weight and showing no signs of his trauma. Thanks to his wonderful foster, Billy has made a full recovery and is now in search of his forever home. His foster has worked with him to learn various commands and vocabulary: kennel, come, leave it, outside, up, along with a few others. He is working on SIT which he seems a bit stumped on- perhaps because of the loss of his leg. He loves his kennel and will even put himself to bed. Billy is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves to give kisses. He does well with other dogs and shows zero aggression. Billy craves attention and loves to be with his people. He needs help to load in a car but rides well once settled. Billy would do well with school aged children and a family that can be at home more than away. Billy can be anxious when on unfamiliar ground or places like the vet’s office. He takes time to settle into new environments. Cats unknown
