Santa Claus will soon be visiting the Midland Park Mall near the end of November in order to provide local residents the opportunity to have their photos taken with him in preparation for the holidays, according to a Midland Reporter-Telegram report.
The Santa Photo Experience will be open Nov. 18 to Dec. 24 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
After the last photo session, he will begin his journey to deliver presents to children all around the world.
Each visit by Santa and his helpers will be in compliance with current COVID-19 safety regulations, with Santa's helpers using masks during the duration of the visit.
Family members will be able to choose between sitting next to Santa or keeping a social distance from him.
A number of other holiday-themed activities will also be held in the mall throughout the season.
These events include Caring Santa, which will take place on Dec. 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and Breakfast with Santa, which will take place on Dec. 11 from 9 to 10 a.m.
Caring Santa is a program created by Autism Speaks that enables malls throughout the country to close for a few hours on a Sunday in December in order to offer children who are sensitive to crowds the opportunity to spend time alone with Santa.
Autism Speaks created the event to provide a safe environment for families to meet and take memento photos with Santa Claus while avoiding sensory triggers such as music, bright lights, and mall traffic.
Reservations for the Santo Photo Experience is now open and may be completed online.
Midland Park Mall is located near the junction of North Loop 250 and Midkiff Road.
