Midland Independent School District (MISD) will hold two meetings this week to address the issue of bullying.
"MISD Parents- please join us this Thursday, April 17, to discuss bullying prevention. MISD is dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for students," the district said in a message on Facebook.
According to an accompanying flier, the events are titled Parent Power Up Bullying Prevention. The first meeting is scheduled for April 17 at 6 p.m. in the library at Emerson Elementary, and the second will occur on April 18 at 6 p.m. in the library at Alamo Junior High.
The flier indicates that parents and guardians require more information on bullying. The event aims to ensure that parents are informed about how to support their children in dealing with bullying and how to respond effectively.
