According to a report from the RockHounds, Midland opened the game with two RBI singles from centerfielder Henry Bolte and first baseman Carter Aldrete to build the 2-0 advantage.
The RockHounds held the lead until the fifth inning when Wichita scored on a force out and an RBI single to set up a 2-2 tie. In the sixth inning, the Wind Surge's Kyler Fedko hit a double that allowed teammate Jack Rucker to score and give Wichita a 3-2 lead.
Reliever Wander Guante was on the mound for Midland in the sixth when the Wind Surge overcame the 2-0 deficit. Consequently, the right-hander earned the loss.
