The Our Lady of Guadalupe (OLG) Parish and Shrine Youth Group is inviting the public to its Fat Tuesday all-you-can-eat buffet at the church’s All Saints Hall, located at 1401 Garden Lane, on March 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

According to a February 22 Facebook post shared by OLG, the $20 per person buffet will include pancakes, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausages, and all the fixings in addition to Mexican staples such as tacos and charro beans.

The church said that there will also be plenty of desserts and drinks. Proceeds from the buffet will go toward the youth group’s goal for the Steubenville Conference.

Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras in French, is the day before Ash Wednesday, which marks the first day of the 40-day Lenten season in the Catholic Church. According to Catholic Answers, Catholics observe this day by indulging in one last feast before beginning their sacrifices for Lent.
