Midland County Commissioners Court met Jan. 10.
Here are the minutes provided by the court:
1. Discuss and take action on hiring HR Director.
Presented by County Judge Johnson. Commissioner Hall started a motion for Ramona Porras to be hired at a 33.5. Commissioner Anderson asked why the motion was for an amount over what is posted. Commissioner Hall stated that he wants to make sure they get her. Commissioner Anderson stated that they should not hire her at a rate higher than posted. Commissioner Villella stated that she currently makes $135,000.00. Commissioner Hall stated that a 33 step 6 is $136,442.85.
Motion that we hire Ramona Porras at a 33 step 6.
