The AI G. Langford Chaparral Center hosted a significant event as Midland College celebrated the graduation of 240 students during its Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremony.

According to a news release, the ceremony took place on Friday, honoring students who earned bachelor's degrees, associate degrees, and workforce certificates. The graduates were recognized by school officials, family, friends, and faculty as they received their degrees or technical certifications.

"We were honored to celebrate the graduating class," said Midland College President Dr. Damon Kennedy. "This evening was about recognizing not only their academic achievements but also the resilience and determination that brought them to this milestone. Midland College is proud to have been part of their journeys and looks forward to the positive impact they will make in our communities and industries."

The college said in a Facebook post that the graduates are now poised to contribute to the Permian Basin community or anywhere their careers take them: "The joy on our graduates’ faces as they crossed the stage and the pride in the eyes of their loved ones made it a night to remember forever."
