The Midland County Housing Authority plans to allocate $950,000 for the renovation of a building, as said in a filing with a state regulatory agency.
According to the filing, Jeanette Castaneda from Hellinghausen Hope Inc. (HHI), an entity under the Midland County Housing Authority that focuses on promoting and developing affordable housing, is leading the project. The renovation involves remodeling a 5,897-square-foot building that previously housed Delano Pediatric.
The project is expected to commence on February 17, 2025, and conclude by October 17, 2025, according to a December 9 filing. The building is situated at 2500 Delano Avenue, and local architects JM Drafting & Design have been involved in the project.
HHI currently operates the 57-unit Village Square Apartments located at 1710 N "A" Street. Residents of this complex are encouraged to engage in self-sufficiency activities.
