The Midland Police Department (MPD) is inviting residents of Midland to participate in the Citizens on Patrol program.
In a Facebook post dated November 15, attributed to MPD, the law enforcement agency from the Permian Basin encourages residents to "be the eyes and ears of [their] community." The post also includes a video showcasing Citizens on Patrol in action.
According to the post, Citizens on Patrol is an integral part of MPD. The program collaborates closely with the patrol division to enhance Midland as "a better place to live and work." Participants in the program assist officers on the streets.
Citizens on Patrol President Bradley Bond said in the video that the program allows Midlanders to be actively involved in crime prevention. Interested individuals can apply to join at https://www.midlandtexas.gov/316/Citizens-on-Patrol
