Alvarene "Rene" Laughlin, 87, Passes Away on November 11, 2024

Alvarene "Rene" Laughlin, 87, of Midland, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024. She was born on July 21, 1937, in Roaring Springs, Texas, to Charlie & Susie Posey. Rene is survived by her two sons, sister Ronda Webb, seven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Gary Laughlin, father Charlie Posey, mother Susie Sain, and brother Charles Posey.

A service for Rene will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland, Texas. Following this, a graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Dawson County Cemetery in Lamesa, Texas. The family has expressed their appreciation to the staff at the Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews, Texas, for their care in her later years, particularly in the Memory Care unit.
