A unique twist on traditional holiday gatherings awaits at the Friendsgiving event hosted by SisterDough on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, from 5 to 10 p.m. at The Blue Door. The festive evening will feature mingling, games, curated shopping, and themed cocktails, all designed to bring friends—and soon-to-be friends—together for a memorable experience.

Priscilla Garcia, owner of SisterDough, has been creating innovative events like this for nearly six years. What began as a doughnut business has grown into hosting community gatherings such as vendor markets and the popular Bestie Bingo & Mingle series.

“My inspiration for the mingle concept came from an event I saw advertised in Dallas,” Garcia said. “I wanted to bring something exciting and fun to our area—events that help us connect, laugh, and support our incredible local businesses.”

The Friendsgiving event will feature a mingle-style bingo game designed to spark conversations. Participants receive a card filled with prompts, such as “Are you from Texas?” As they find matches, they strike up conversations, form connections, and have a chance to win prizes.

“This time, we’re adding a fun twist,” Garcia said. “After filling out mingle cards, attendees enter them into a drawing for a white elephant-style prize exchange. It’s so exciting to see people light up as they unwrap their prizes or decide to ‘steal’ from someone else!”

In addition to mingling, attendees can enjoy themed cocktails crafted by The Blue Door, including mocktail options. The ticket price includes one drink, with additional themed drinks available at a discounted rate. Local vendors will also be on-site, offering everything from boutique clothing to jewelry, making it easy to get a head start on holiday shopping.

The evening will conclude with Last Amiga Standing, a high-stakes game where participants compete for a prize pack valued at more than $500, including luxury items such as a Coach purse and exclusive gifts.

With only 55 tickets available, Garcia encourages early booking. “It’s about bringing people together in a way that’s fun and meaningful while supporting local businesses,” she said.

Tickets for the Friendsgiving event can be purchased through SisterDough’s social media channels. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate friendship, shop small, and make new connections!
