A Midland Legacy football player, Aiden Serrano, has announced a significant milestone in his athletic career beyond the team's playoff berth.
Serrano, a wide receiver, shared on social media platform X that he has received an offer to play football at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. "Blessed To Say I Have Received An Offer From Henderson State University. Big Thanks To @EJLASSITER #AGTG," he wrote.
According to MaxPreps, Serrano concluded the season with 43 receptions for 767 yards and 11 touchdowns. Additionally, he carried the ball 48 times for 333 yards and scored another 11 touchdowns.
In September, Serrano disclosed that he had also received an offer from Angelo State University. Besides football, he plays baseball for the Rebels and earned all-district honors as an outfielder last spring.
MaxPreps reports that Serrano's performance is closely tied to the Rebels' success. The team holds a record of 3-1 when he scores two receiving touchdowns in a game and 2-4 when he does not. He wrapped up the season with 80 yards receiving and two touchdowns during the Rebels' decisive 75-22 victory over the Odessa Bronchos.
