The City of Midland, Texas, will observe Veterans Day as a holiday on Monday, November 11, 2024. As a result, City Hall located at 300 N. Loraine St., along with other city offices, will be closed for the day.
The Solid Waste Department has announced its schedule for the Veterans Day holiday. There will be no trash collection on Monday, November 11. Regular trash pickup for Monday will occur on Tuesday, November 12. The usual Tuesday trash pickup is rescheduled to Wednesday, November 13. Trash collection for Thursday and Friday will follow their regular schedules.
The Citizens Collection Station for recycling will also be closed on Veterans Day. It will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday following the holiday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Similarly, the landfill will not be open on Monday in observance of Veterans Day but will resume operations from Tuesday to Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
