Midland Crime Stoppers returned from the 35th Annual Texas Crime Stoppers Conference in Waco with four accolades.
According to an October 9 Facebook post by the non-profit organization, it won awards for Texas Best General Newsprint, Texas Best Social Media, Texas Best Crime of the Week Newsprint, and the Productivity Award for Most Cases Cleared.
In a separate Facebook post, the Midland Police Department (MPD) congratulated Midland Crime Stoppers on its achievements. MPD also recognized the detectives who worked on cases that Midland Crime Stoppers helped solve.
The Annual Texas Crime Stoppers Conference occurs every October to provide volunteers and law enforcement coordinators from across the state with training, information on regulations and policies regarding Crime Stoppers organizations in Texas, classroom sessions, and more. The recently concluded 2024 conference took place from October 8-10.
