Houston, Aug. 2, 2024 - Daniel Salas, a former member of the Bulldogs football team at Midland High School and loyal Houston Astros fan, died at the age of 61. Salas, known for his big-hearted and positive nature, passed away in Houston, Texas. He was born on February 15, 1963, in El Paso, Texas. Salas graduated as an Honor Student from Midland High and earned his degree from Angelo State University. He leaves behind his daughters, Stephanie and Kristina, as well as his brothers, Victor and David Salas. A viewing will be held at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home in Midland, TX on Saturday, August 17, 2024, with family viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and open public viewing from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., followed by a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Salas' warm and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
