James Lee Jimenez, known as "The Champ," passed away on July 6, 2024, in Midland, Texas at the age of 38. Jimenez was born and raised in Midland, Texas, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School before attending Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin. He had a passion for Tae-Kwon-Do since childhood, earned a black belt in 2013, and enjoyed playing soccer. Jimenez was also dedicated to his family and his faith, being a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.
He is survived by his parents, daughter, siblings, nieces, and nephew. A viewing will be held on July 10, 2024, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., and the funeral mass will take place on July 11, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Arrangements are under the care of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home & Chapel. Donations or flower arrangements in Jimenez's memory can be made through the Sympathy Store.
