Kristy Jo Fradenburg, age 61, of Midland, Texas, passed away on June 29, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 16, 1962, in Houston, Texas, Kristy was a kind and caring wife, devoted mother, and faithful follower of Jesus Christ.
A graduate of Midland Lee High School and the University of Texas, Kristy received a bachelor’s degree in education and nursing. She taught high school physics and German for 16 years, touching the lives of many students. Kristy's life was marked by travel, living in various states and countries before returning to Midland where she spent the last decade.
Kristy will be remembered by her husband, Glen, for her loving spirit, strength, and her dedication to community Bible study. Her children, Brian Shelburne and his wife Morgan, Matthew Shelburne and Sadie Lauwers, recall her unconditional love, unwavering support, and strength of character. Kristy is survived by her mother, Bettye Bartosh, and her five siblings.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Stonegate Fellowship in Midland. Kristy will be remembered for her impact as an educator, her devotion to her family, and her steadfast faith.
