The Quality Inn located at 902 West Interstate 20 is set to undergo a year-long renovation on a portion of the hotel, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
According to TDLR, 10,000 square feet of space will be renovated at an estimated cost of $275,000. The project is scheduled to begin on November 30 and run until November 30, 2025.
The local hotel is operated by Midland I-20 Lodging, LLC. The address on file matches that of Dallas-based ICON Lodging, led by Roger Sotelo. Grand Prairie-based architects ADR Designs collaborated with the hotel owners on the project.
According to Sotelo’s LinkedIn profile, he has been ICON Lodging’s design and development manager for the past two years. Prior to working with the hotel operator, he was an associate with the Metroplex design firm CallisonRTKL for over five years and a senior project coordinator for Mayse and Associates, Inc. for over four years.
