Midland Christian School is expected to start work on a new athletic field this fall, according to a filing with a state regulatory agency.

The $4 million project includes a new football field and track, gravel parking with concrete accessible parking stalls, and site fencing. The project was filed under the working title Midland Christian School Athletics - Phase I.

According to the filing, work on the 60,000 square-foot project is expected to begin on Oct. 15 and wrap up Dec. 1. The field will be located near the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and North Garfield Road.

The Lubbock-based design firm Parkhill worked with the school on the project. Work on the project is being led by the school's president Greg Anderson.

According to Anderson’s LinkedIn profile, he has been leading the school since October 2022. Prior to that, he served as a partner with Fort Worth-based Interim Ministry Partners and has a doctorate in organizational leadership from Pepperdine University.
