A multinational chain of ice cream and cake specialty shops owned by Inspire Brands is coming to the Pogosa Shopping Center, according to a filing with a state regulatory agency.
The $300,000 Baskin Robbins project includes turning 2,000 square feet of tenant space into an ice cream parlor, according to the filing. The store will be located at 6700 N. State Highway 349 Suite 1.
The project is expected to begin on October 30 and be completed on January 31, 2025, according to the filing. Construction timelines filed with the state are tentative. The Kent Companies under the entity Kent Distributors, LLC would be the owners of the franchise, according to the filing. Jenks, Oklahoma-based Zemanek Architecture +Design is on board the project team.
According to The Kent Companies’ website, the organization runs a number of brands outside of Baskin Robbins. Those companies include Huddle House, Rustic Café, Kent Tire, Kent Kwik, and Kent Lube among others. The family-run business was established in 1957 by Elbert Kent. The company is now run by Bill Kent whose love for chocolate ice cream led him to start running Baskin Robbins franchises in 1996.
