Local storage facility to undergo $2.5 million expansion

The Just A Closet Self Storage facility is expected to be expanded under Phase II of development plans, according to a filing with a state regulatory agency.

The self-storage building is expected to add a 45,753 square-foot building that will consist of metal wall panels and masonry veneer, according to the filing. The expansion project is expected to cost $2.5 million and is located at 5307 Graceland Drive.

Joseph Holand, founder of McAllen-based Verturo Development, LLC, is developing the project under the entity Just A Closet #10, LLC. The San Antonio design firm Dallenbach Cole Architecture is on board for the project that has the working title, Just A Closet Midland Phase 2.

According to Verturo Development’s website, Holand founded the company in 2017 with an emphasis on developing midsize projects in the Rio Grande Valley. The company now specializes in commercial and residential projects including the Just A Closet Self Storage brand.
