A local Walmart will undergo a slight renovation project next year, according to a state filing with a regulatory agency.
The Walmart located at 200 West Interstate 20 will undergo a $120,000 remodel, according to the filing. The scope of work being proposed includes the installation of interior and exterior doors, an update to the door hardware, and remodeling the existing pavement for the new doors.
According to the filing, Walmart’s Brian Brody, senior manager of business strategy and planning, is spearheading the rehab endeavor. The project is expected to begin on May 4, 2025, and be completed by the end of that month. CESCO, Inc., a design firm based in Miamisburg, Ohio, worked with Walmart on the project.
Brody has been employed with Walmart’s Bentonville, Arkansas-based headquarters since 2008 and was previously a store manager for Lowe’s Home Improvement for seven years and a district manager for Hastings Entertainment for 13 years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
