Rep. August Pfluger (TX-11) congratulated Midlander Bryce Hoppel on his personal best time and fastest Team USA finish in the men's 800-meter Olympic Finals.
"Bryce, everyone in Texas-11, in fact everyone in America is so incredibly proud of you," he said in a statement. "You represent the absolute best in our country and you have represented the USA with honor at these Olympic Games!"
According to Team USA, Hoppel has competed in two Olympic Games. He finished fourth in the men's 800 meters at the Paris 2024 Olympics, while at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, he placed 16th in the same event.
