The Midland County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and several other law enforcement agencies conducted a large operation on August 1 that resulted in three arrests. The operation took place in the 1000 block of South Midkiff in Midland County.

According to an MCSO Facebook post announcing the operation, the targeted subjects were involved in trespassing and theft.

MCSO assured that the operation presented no danger to the public.

Another MCSO Facebook post stated that the physical size of the property in question prompted deputies and the Midland Police Department (MPD) SWAT teams to sweep it for potential trespassers.

The operation consequently netted three individuals identified as 58-year-old Javier Mendoza-Miramontes, 47-year-old Richard James Catlin Jr., and 61-year-old Dennis Dale Denzer.

According to MCSO, the men were taken to Midland County Central Detention Center where they were booked on a criminal trespassing charge. Mendoza-Miramontes was revealed to have a warrant for parole violation issued against him.

MCSO is currently investigating the case.
