Aschten Aguilar, who has a role on Landman, said that costume fittings involve choosing from several options, with the selected outfit bagged with personalized details, that extras often bring their own attire, and he is committed to being prepared and camera-ready for any role. Aguilar was a guest on a recent episode of the Best of Midland Podcast.
"The first thing that they do is send us to a wardrobe," said Aguilar on a recent edition of the Best of Midland Podcast. "From our costume fittings, we can have before they have it already bagged with your name and logo, characters, look, and all this stuff. They give you 3 or 4 different kinds of options to take pictures in at your fitting, and then whichever one they like the most, that's the one they bag for you that day.”
“The bag was your standard, like stiletto boots and hard hat and all that stuff, but they dirtied them up really nice, where they looked authentic,” Aguilar said. “I think they sourced some actual clothes, and some of the extras that didn’t get a costume call had to bring their own face to set. Okay, and I like telling this story because I would have done the same thing. So if I get called to do a Paramount picture, whatever scene, I’m going to Cavenders, I’m going to wherever I need to go to buy the sharpest FRs I’ve ever bought, and I’m starting everything the night before.”
Aguilar will be on Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming show, Landman, which stars Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, and Demi Moore. He has a background in the oil fields and a passion for music.
