The Permian Strategic Partnership (PSP) called on the Texas Permian Basin community to participate in securing financial support from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The initiative comes in response to TxDOT's draft 2025 Unified Transportation Program (UTP), which outlines a decade-long plan with $3.9 billion earmarked for the Odessa District.

The UTP projects are expected to benefit both residential and commercial traffic, enhancing accessibility, travel experiences, and road safety. PSP emphasizes the importance of community involvement in this process.

"As proud residents of the Permian, we have a crucial stake in securing this financial support," said PSP representatives. They said that the Texas Transportation Commission is accepting public comments until Aug. 5 and urged community members to support the funding.
