In this edition of "Adoptable Pet of the Week," introduced are two companions waiting for their “fur-ever” homes at the Midland Humane Coalition, Charlotte and Kristi.
Charlotte is a 4-year-old pit mix weighing approximately 50 pounds and was discovered along with some of her pups abandoned in a desolate area, far from any signs of civilization. Oil field workers came to their rescue after spotting them and alerting authorities. Upon examination, it was found that Charlotte had a microchip, indicating she had been rehomed to someone who likely abandoned her and her pups. Despite this ordeal, Charlotte maintains a friendly demeanor, though she can be shy around new people. With a calm nature and a longing for stability, Charlotte would make a loyal and faithful companion for anyone willing to offer her love and a dependable routine.
Kristi is a 1-year-old Shepherd/boxer mix and found herself in the care of Midland Animal Services before being rescued by Sassy's Dog Rescue. Placed with a foster family, Kristi thrived and showcased her joyful spirit. Although initially uneasy around new situations and people, Kristi's affectionate nature shines through once she feels comfortable. She gets along well with other dogs and people, making her an ideal companion for a loving household willing to provide her with the time and patience needed to build trust.
If you're considering adopting a pet, think about welcoming Charlotte and Kristi into your home. Visit the Midland Humane Coalition to meet these two companions and explore the possibility of giving them a loving home.
