Stroman Bridges, who served as Midland High School's quarterback last season, has revealed his verbal commitment to play for Army West Point. The announcement was made via a social media post on X.

"I'm truly blessed to announce that I will be committing to continue my football and academic career @ArmyWP_Football… Go Army Beat navy!! @CoachJeffMonken @MikeViti @Coach_romero18 @Coach_Worley @Coach_Fortune @CoachCam36," said Bridges, according to X.

On April 6, Bridges shared on X about his "amazing time" meeting with the football coaches at Army.

According to Black Knight Nation, Bridges has been an avid viewer of the Army-Navy game each year with his father. Having played various positions such as quarterback, slotback and wide receiver, he recently visited West Point. Following the visit, he decided to commit verbally to offensive line coach Mike Viti. It is anticipated that he will be positioned at the slot.

Bridges said, "Army is recruiting me to play whatever position I want to play. They really appreciate my ability to play multiple positions." He further noted that his high school operates a similar triple option offense and he sees himself fitting perfectly with Army's strategy. He expressed great satisfaction with his visit and admiration for the coaches. "I knew that’s where I wanted to go," stated Bridges. He also lauded Midland High for having what he believes is "the best high school football weight program in the country."
