Keep Midland Beautiful announces City-County Trash Off

Keep Midland Beautiful (KMB) announced the first ever City-County Trash Off and are partnering with Midland County and the City of Midland. KMB announced the event in a press release from April 3.

According to the press release, the first ever City-County Trash Off is set to take place on April 6, 2024. The event will run from 10 am to noon, during which municipal workers will collect trash, starting from South Garfield and stretching from Industrial to the Horseshoe Arena. Whichever agency has the most participation will win the event.

KMB also stated in the press release that they will be present at the event, and will provide lunch for the participants at the Horseshoe arena.

According to the KMB website, the aim of the organization is to educate and motivate the Midland community to actively contribute to the creation of a waste-free Midland, and make Midland a city where environmentally conscious citizens work together to maintain a clean-living environment.

According to the press release, Keep Midland Beautiful was established in 1983 and has been dedicated to grassroots environmental efforts, encouraging Midland residents to care for our community. KMB is affiliated with Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful.
