Midland Legacy's Subair, Ouattara make podium at Texas Relays

The 96th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays took place between March 27 and March 30, and Midland schools were well represented the prestigious invitational meet, including two Lady Rebels making the podium.

Midland Legacy

Subair took the silver medal in the discus, tossing it 49.33 meters. Ouattara was 18th with a toss of 38.83 meters.

In shot put, Pamela Ouattara made the podium with a bronze medal throw of 13.97 meters. Bolaji Subair just missed with fourth place, at 13.78 meters.

Aaralyn Strambler placed 26th with a time of 12.08 in the 100 meters. In the long jump she was 19th with a distance of 5.53 meters.

Midland 

The Midland Bulldogs boys’ track and field team also had athletes at the meet. 

Tim Babino was 59th with a time of 10.97 in the 100 meters. Elijah McCoy was 67th with a time of 11.08.

In the 110 meter hurdles, Ryder Sims was 42nd with a time of 15.81.

The Midland 4x100 meter relay team was 27th with a time of 43.61. The team included Babino, Michael Waters, Cutter Lange and McCoy.

The 4x200 meter relay team was 20th with a time of 1:29.62. It included Babinco, McCoy, Waters and Amon Mosley.

Midland’s 4x400 meter relay team was 16th with a time of 3:26.13. The team included Kaleb Harper, Mosley, Cutter Lange and Jacob Harper.

Midland Christian

The Midland Christian 4x400 meter relay team was 35th with a time of 3:36.31. The team included Jason Minor, Andrew Crain, Braden Belew and Colton Alexander.

The Midland Christian 4x800 meter relay team was 15th with a time of 8:12.38. This team consisted of Belew, Minor, Alexander and Crain.
