Midland RockHounds to host 31st annual baseball camp

The Midland RockHounds will host its 31st annual baseball camp from June 4 to 6 for ages 6 to 12.

According to a release from Midland Rockhounds, players and coaches from the Midland RockHounds, with over 30 years of professional baseball experience, will lead the sessions. Previous camps have featured major league figures like Todd Greene, Rich Harden, Nick Swisher and others.

The camp has a camper-to-staff ratio of approximately 10:1 and each participant will be placed in groups based on age and experience level. Throughout the camp, attendees will rotate through various skill stations covering different aspects of baseball, according to the release.

According to the release, camp activities will run daily from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m and include sessions, drills, and practice games. On the first day, check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. Each day will conclude with lunch provided by the RockHounds' staff.

In addition to instruction, campers will receive a T-shirt, a certificate of participation, and a picnic/game ticket ($22 value) for the June 5 RockHounds game. The total cost per camper is $175, with full payment required prior to the start of the camp.
