Midland County Primary Election results unveil presumed winners amid low voter turnout

The latest data released by the Midland County Elections Office unveils the primary election results, shedding light on a relatively low voter turnout. Despite a total of 95,471 registered voters, only 17.38% participated, with a reported 16,596 ballots cast.

In the district attorney race, Glenn Harwood emerges as the presumed winner with 8,848 votes out of a total of 13,044 reported votes, securing 95.65% of precincts. His opponent, Kyle A. McCardle, received 4,196 votes.

For the sheriff election, David Criner takes the lead with 7,550 votes out of 14,771 total votes. Justin Painter, Criner's opponent, received 2,218 votes, while another opponent, Rory McKinney, secured 5,003 votes, with 95.65% of precincts reporting.

In the county commissioner race, Charles Charlie Hall is presumed to be the winner with 1,671 votes out of a total of 2,611 votes, comprising 84.62% of precincts. Hall's opponent, Terry M. Luck, received 940 votes.

Scott Casbeer is the presumed winner for Constable Precinct 2 with 1,973 votes out of a total of 3,852 votes, with 100% of precincts reporting. Casbeer's opponent, Michael Pool, received 1,879 votes.
