Former Ketamine Clinic patient: ‘Through my infusions, I gained a different perspective’

Jessica Nosek, the patient care coordinator of the Ketamine Clinic of West Texas located in Midland, said “Through my infusions, I gained a different perspective, a different sense of self.”

“I like to explain ego like a wet dog: you've got a dog, you've got the fur that is a part of the dog, you've got the water that is on the dog but not part of it,” said Nosek on a recent edition of the Best of Midland Podcast she did alongside clinic founder Tammy Vaught. “So in psychedelics like Ketamine, it will take that ego out of you and like a dog will shake off all the water leaving only what is left, what is just the dog and the fur that's part of the dog.”

“Everything else wasn't valuable, everything else wasn't necessarily true, it wasn't useful.” Nosek said. “So I got that sense of self back. I learned that I had that self-efficacy, I learned that I could rely on myself, I learned that I could, I can and I do”

Vaught, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, opened Ketamine Clinic of West Texas as a supportive treatment clinic to help patients with individualized care programs for both physical and mental ailments.

Nosek, now the patient care coordinator at the clinic, started out as a patient, receiving treatment that allowed her to eventually come completely off her antidepressant medications.
