What to watch:

Running back Juzstyce Lara has been putting on a show week after week this season, and last week against Pebble Hills may have been one of his best with 221 yards and a pair of scores. He was a workhorse for the Panthers, carrying the ball times averaging five yards per carry to pace the offensive in the win.

On the season, Lara has 1,693 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.Watch for Lara to be the focal point of the Permian offense once again.

Jakob Garcia can get it done at the quarterback position using his arm and legs alike. He had a touchdown pass to Isaiah Welton last week in minimal attempts, completing four passes for 25 yards.

On defense watch for Braden Garcia who is coming off a two interception game. Caleb Jameson also picked off a pass. The team had four sacks by Bryan Pry, Jordan Strange, Victor Ramirez and Sebastian Sanchez.

The Permian Panthers have outscored opponents 357-290 this year.

North Crowley has been dominant this season, outscoring opponents 631-152 and remaining unbeaten. Last week they beat Keller 42-26 in the bi-district round, led by Ashton Searl. The senior running back had 27 carries for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Searl has 1,175 yards and 24 rushing touchdowns.

Junior quarterback Chris Jimerson had three passing touchdowns and 165 yards passing, but his accuracy was questionable as he was throwing at a 39.1% clip which is far lower than his 59.3% season rate. On the year he has thrown for 2,383 yards, 32 touchdowns and only two picks.

Lamarcus Davis caught two touchdowns and Dekoryian West-Davis snagged a touchdown, as well. Davis is the top receiver on the year with 38 catches for 566 yards and eight touchdowns.
