Gov. Greg Abbott has announced that the next Governor's Small Business Summit will be held in San Angelo on October 19th, 2023. The event aims to provide small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in Texas with valuable resources and information. The summit will take place at the McNease Convention Center on 501 Rio Concho Dr. from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Abbott emphasized the importance of these summits in helping entrepreneurs network and learn strategies for business growth. In a post on October 12th, he stated, "These summits are an excellent opportunity to network with fellow entrepreneurs and learn strategies to grow your company."
The governor highlighted the significant role that small business owners play in the Texas economy and workforce. He expressed pride in investing in current and aspiring entrepreneurs in San Angelo through the Small Business Summit, ensuring they have the necessary tools to launch or expand their businesses. Prospective attendees can register for the summit by paying a fee of $20, which covers all sessions, resource providers, and even complimentary headshots. The panel topics for the San Angelo summit include "Addressing Small Business Challenges: What's on the Horizon," "Essentials of Small Business Accounting," "Access to Finance & Funding," and "Online & Social Media Marketing Essentials."
Following the San Angelo summit, the next two Governor's Small Business Summits will be hosted in San Antonio and Houston, according to the press release issued by the Office of the Texas Governor. These summits aim to continue supporting small business owners and fostering economic growth throughout the state.
