Midland101, the city's citizen education program, is now accepting applications for its 2023-2024 class. Applications will remain open until Friday, September 8, 2023.

“Midland101 is ideal for anyone who would like to take a leadership role in the community and is excellent preparation for serving on a City of Midland board or commission,” a flyer released by the city of Midland states. “The program is an engaging way to meet people who are passionate about what they do, and to network with other Midland101 participants who share similar interests and diverse backgrounds.”

The program offers seven sessions, during which participants will learn about local government operations and roles related to the City's air and space port, downtown redevelopment projects, water supply maintenance, and public safety, among other city issues.
