According to the flyer, the “Kendra gives back” event will take place on Wednesday, July 26 from 4-6 pm. The post noted that shoppers will be able to enjoy refreshments while shopping at Kendra Scott to support the Midland Humane Coalition. 20% of the proceeds will go towards supporting the MHC.
Kendra Gives Back is a community giving initiative under the Kendra Scott company, a nationwide jewelry brand. According to the company's website, this program enables community members to organize in-store events benefiting causes and organizations dedicated to enhancing health, wellness, education, entrepreneurship and empowerment.
The Midland Humane Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed that is committed to collaborating with the Midland community to put an end to animal euthanasia and to seek loving Furr-Ever Homes for adoptable cats and dogs in need, according to the organization's website.
MHC states that many pets in Midland end up in the city's shelter and, if left unclaimed, face being placed on the euthanasia list due to limited space and resources. However, Midland Humane Coalition (MHC) believes in providing hope for these cats and dogs, offering them a second chance. The website said that as a proud no-kill facility, MHC’s ultimate goal is to transform Midland into a no-kill community. They collaborate closely with Midland Animal Services and local rescue groups to identify adoptable pets from the euthanasia list, giving them a safe haven and working tirelessly to find them loving new homes.
