Jackson is a one and a half year old male Lab/Pit Mix ( about 60 plus lbs) that was recently abandoned by his owners after adopting him from the Humane Society in Florida. Jackson is definitely a man’s dog and responds better to men in general. He is large, strong and active and will need a secure large yard to run in. He would do best with a strict owner who would continue his training. Jackson is super smart and tries to please and would thrive with structure and limits. He’s very trainable, but still needs a bit more socialization in new environments. Jackson rides well in a car and walks well on a leash, too. Jackson has lived with other dogs in a foster home, but tends to be reactive in the kennel environment. He is better with female dogs but will still need a proper introduction. Jackson is kennel trained and sleeps quietly in a crate with no issues. He is a very happy playful boy that loves to play hard and then come in and sleep! He loves swimming and would do great with a family that has a pool. He has a strong prey drive and would not do well with livestock or cats.
