Ethan Willis is the new interim executive director of the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale (MOSC).

He replaces Jeannette Kolokoff, who is retiring, according to a news release.

"Jeannette Kolokoff has done an outstanding job with MOSC," Willis said in the release. "I am excited to take over the leadership role and continue to build on the 58-year foundation of the organization. It’s my goal to further develop the arts in our community, build new partnerships, and work to create a bright and vibrant future for the orchestra."

Kolokoff is looking forward to her retirements after enjoying her eight years with MOSC, the news release said.

The 2020-21 MOSC season will include three masterworks and four pops and family concerts. It is set to begin in October.

Willis was a freelance musician and music educator before joining MOSC. He is also working on his Ph.D. in fine arts administration from Texas Tech University. Willis also has degrees in music education and music performance.
