Donations to Reflection Ministries of Texas in Midland, which helps victims of sex trafficking, have allowed the organization to furnish five cottages at The Village, according to a Facebook post.
Lisa Bownds, the CEO and founder of Reflections Ministries, said in a Facebook video that her team has been very busy.
"We have secured a property, renovated houses, equipped staff and put many policies and procedures in place," Bownds said in the video. "We've done so many things and we've started accepting residents."
Bownds said they've been asked many times how The Village has turned out, so she decided to make a tour video to show others where their donations went.
"We've built The Village because of you," Bownds said. "We built The Village and have been able to change lives on a daily basis because of you."
Bownds urged others to continue to remember The Village and Reflection Ministries in the future as well, saying that even with the world shutting down, they're still there trying to help people.
The first video in the tour shows Reflection House, which focuses on crisis management.
Bownds said in this cottage, they focus on sleep patterns, health and fitness and medical, behavioral and psychological health.
"Tons of things happen in this house within the first several days of a resident stepping foot on this property," Bownds said.
Safety and security are paramount and there are many cameras set up around the common areas of the property, she added.
