The BCCK Holding, a 40-year-old Midland company specializing in the processing and treating of natural gas, is working on the construction and installation of a Nitech Nitrogen Rejection Unit (NRU) at Energy Transfer's Rebel Plant in West Texas, according to a company news release.

“The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project will consist of a 97 MMSCFD nitrogen rejection unit incorporating BCCK’s Style III Nitech® NRU technology at Energy Transfer’s Rebel Plant,” BCCK, which celebrated its 40th anniversary June 18, said in the release.

Jim McCaleb, vice president of processing at Energy Transfer, said BCCK was the clear choice, given the company's knowledge about nitrogen rejection.

“We are excited to work with them on an NRU project,” McCaleb said in the BCCK statement.

Similarly, John Petersen, senior VP of business development at BCCK said the company is looking forward to the project and working with Energy Transfer.

“This project will allow us to showcase BCCK’s gas processing and nitrogen removal knowledge as well as exhibit the company’s construction skills,” Peterson told BCCK.

On June 12, the BCCK Facebook page announced that the Nitech NRU was shipped from NG Resources. The project is currently scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2020.

The completion of the Energy Transfer project is the 30th NRU project for BCCK.

In addition to its extensive experience with NRUs, BCCK also has intimate understanding of process engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, facility design, electrical engineering, electrical design, DCS control system design, purchasing expertise, quality control, financial expertise and quality fabrication, according to its website

EPC projects as well as cryo plants and construction and fabrication projects are all among BCCK’s areas of expertise, which spans across a number of integral industries.

“We have a history of providing the best overall economic and technical solutions for our clients,” BCCK said.
