Texas Roadhouse and Frost Bank have been providing lunches to community members at the Midland Senior Center as part of a drive-thru service once a week during the COVID-19 shutdown, NewsWest9 reported.

The drive-thru service has occurred the past three weeks and is aimed at ensuring that none of the vulnerable citizens go without food while also providing them with some variety in their meals, the station reported.

"We take care of each other," said Lori Wesley, community development officer at Frost Bank. "It's important to get involved because nobody has all the answers and we're always better together."

Lunch deliveries will continue until everyone can be together again at the senior center, Wesley told NewsWest 9.

The restaurant and the bank partnered with the senior center to offer the lunches, the station reported.
