UTPB President Woodley highlights panelist slate for Midland Chamber's State of Education luncheon
The Midland Chamber is counting down to its 2024 State of Education luncheon at Bush Convention Center, 105 N. Main St., on August 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A highlight of the event is the trio of panelists consisting of University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) President Dr. Sandra Woodley, Midland College (MC) President Dr. Damon Kennedy, and Texas Tech University (TTU) Health Sciences Center Provost Dr. Darrin D’Agostino.

UTPB students to present research at national conference
Three students from the University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) will be presenting their research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Long Beach, California this April. This will be the first time students from UTPB attend the national conference.

UTPB offering Master of Science in social work to tackle behavioral health provider shortage
The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) is addressing the shortage of behavioral health providers in the Permian Basin with the introduction of its new Master of Science in social work. UTPB will offer the behavioral health scholarship by covering tuition and mandatory fees for students pursuing master’s degrees in social work, clinical psychology, and counseling.

University of Texas Permian Basin partners with Midland College and Odessa College to host Transfer Days
The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) is partnering with Midland College and Odessa College to host two upcoming Transfer Days. The Midland College Transfer Day is scheduled for March 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marie Hall Academic Building and the Odessa College Transfer Day will take place on April 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Saulsbury Campus Center Lobby.
